Mod note on '"But I would be ashamed to have written any part of this script"'

Folks, nothing deleted, and this isn't a thing that's really addressed in the guidelines as they currently stand, but: i really wish we could, as a community, move away from complaining about stuff like paywalls, video runtimes, and/or Javascript, especially early in a thread. It tends to pick up a bunch of flags and it not-infrequently derails the conversation entirely. If you can't access the links in a post on terms that are acceptable to you, it's okay to just not comment.
